Technically speaking, WebSocket is a communication protocol that provides a full-duplex bi-directional communication channel between a client and a server over TCP.

What this means for you is that the Valotalive displays are always online and get real time data, eliminating continuous polling and page reloads. This reduces network load. If WebSocket is unsupported by network components, the player defaults to polling.

The key benefits of utilizing this technology are:

  • Keep your teams informed in real time

  • Enjoy a better user experience

    • Commands and interaction with Valotalive are real-time

  • Allows Valotalive a strong foundation for further development
