AFP is a global news agency delivering multilingual, fast, in-depth coverage of the events shaping our world — from wars and conflicts to politics, sports, entertainment and the latest breakthroughs in health, science and technology.

The AFP News App in Valotalive displays live news on digital signage, available in English, German, French, Spanish and Portuguese. Each article includes photos to bring a relevant visual angle to the news. You can choose from categories such as world news, business news, politics, science and sports.

How to activate the AFP News App

Easiest way for activating a content App is from Valotalive Dashboard. Just click the icon of the content you wish to activate and proceed by clicking Create new.

Configuration settings

  1. News Category

    Choose a news category from the drop-down list to define what content is displayed.

  2. Show advanced settings

    Show Advanced button in content Apps Configuration tab

    1. Seconds per article

      Controls how long each news item is displayed. The recommended range is 8–15 seconds per article.

    2. Minimum amount of posts in one show cycle

      Sets how many posts are shown in one full cycle.

  3. Rename the App

    You can rename the app at any time by clicking the name at the top of the page. The best practice is to name the app to reflect the selected news category, so it is easy to identify in your content library.

  4. Save

    Click Save to apply your settings.

Complete the setup by adding the app to a flow or directly to a display.
