Why can't I publish to My Content Channel?

If you are unable to publish to My Content Channel, the most common reasons are missing access permissions or a video file that exceeds the size limit. This article helps you identify and fix the issue quickly.

There are two common reasons why publishing to My Content Channel may not be working.

1. You cannot access or see My Content Channel

Seeing an error like in the picture below when accessing My Content channel? It could be that your access link is expired or your email is missing from the settings.

Enter an email to request a password to the My Content Channel. Password is changed via My Content app on the "Account" settings

Note! To access My Content Channel, you don't need to change your password. There is no password to change; it uses a special access link instead.

If My Content Channel used to work

  • Go to the Apps page and click "USE" for that My Content channel.
    OR,

  • Ask a colleague with access to send you a new link from their My Content Channel "Settings".

There is no password needed for My Content as it uses an user-specific link for access.

If the My Content Channel has never worked

  1. Go to the Apps page and find the My Content Channel app.

  2. Click on the app.

  3. On the left, go to CONFIGURATION.

  4. Add your email address in the required field.

  5. Click Save.

After this, you should be able to post messages, videos, and PDFs using the "USE" button or via the invitation link sent to you from no-reply@valota.live

2. Your video is not uploading

My Content Channel supports video files up to 330 MB. If your video exceeds this limit, the upload may not complete.

To fix this:

  1. Check the file size of your video before uploading

  2. If the file exceeds 330 MB, compress the video using a video compression tool before uploading

  3. Try uploading the compressed file again
