Common Setup Questions

Q: How many apps can I put on a single tab? A: 2 pps per tab (e.g., the KPI Status and its supporting Power BI report). This also ensures the information is readable from 5–10 feet away on the shop floor.

Q: What devices / Operating Systems are supported? A: Valotalive Digital Tier Board runs in Windows and ChromeOS

Operational Troubleshooting

Q: The Power BI app is not loading, and part of the screen is empty? A: The most common reasons preventing Power BI from loading are a slower network (give it some time to load) or an expired authorization token. Try re-authorizing the Valotalive - Power BI integration in the Valotalive admin dashboard.

Q: Can we change a 'Red' status back to 'Green' directly on the screen? A: Yes! A Team Lead can tap the screen during the huddle to update the status. This is the core of Active Performance Management.

Note: Only the current day can be changed, previous days cannot.

Q: The tab names are too long and are overlapping. What is the best practice? A: For the best UI experience on the factory floor, use short, punchy names for your tabs (e.g., "Safety" instead of "Safety Performance Metrics"). This keeps the interface clean and easy to navigate during fast-paced meetings.
