How to activate Accident-Free Days Counter app

Track and display your site's accident-free streak live on screen. The Accident-Free Days app automatically calculates your safety metrics and includes a display app for your screens and a mobile app for managers to update the counter on the go.

What You get

The Accident-Free Days app has two components:

  • Display app: shows the counter and safety data on your digital signage screens

  • Mobile app: allows managers to update and reset the counter from their phone

How to Activate the App

  1. Log in to the Valotalive Dashboard

  2. Find the Accident-Free Days app icon and click Create New

  3. Click the pencil icon to name your app: Use a descriptive name such as the site or workstation name

    Renaming the app to reflect its specific use case or location.

    💡 If Show Title is enabled on your display, the app name will appear at the top of the screen.

Configuration

  • Theme

    Select your company theme or a general preset to set colors and fonts.

  • Worksite name:

    The name of the facility as it should appear on screen.

  • Worksite start date:

    Enter the date your safety count begins (past, present, or future).

    ⚠️ This is a one-time setup. Once the app is live, all future resets must be handled via the Mobile Management App to ensure accurate long-term reporting.

  • Text under the counter:

    Customize the label shown below the counter — for example, "days since recordable" or "days without accidents". Maximum 24 characters.

  • Manager email addresses:

    Add up to 25 managers using their personal email addresses.

    After clicking Save All, each manager receives a personal management link from insights@valota.live.

  • Background color:

    Set a unique color for the mobile management tool—useful if you manage multiple sites.

  • Show last accident date on display (Yes/No) (optional)
    Toggle Yes to display the date and description of the most recent incident on screen.

  • Type a descriptive topic for your latest incident (optional)
    Sets the title shown above the most recent accident date and details on screen. A free-text label for the most recent incident — maximum 24 characters.

    E.g. if you type "Latest accident" in this field, your screen will display:

  • Mark holidays and weekends automatically into the calendar (Yes/No)
    Toggle Yes to count only working days by excluding weekends and Finnish public holidays. These can also be managed via the Mobile App.

  • Date format

    Choose how dates appear on screen: DD.MM.YYYY or MM/DD/YYYY.

  • Logo for screen

    Upload your company logo to appear in the bottom right corner of the screen.

Click Show Advanced to access additional settings.
