The media player can lose the network connection, in which case re-establishing the connection requires measures. The lack of connection can be seen if the screen contents are not updated or the orange Valotalive icon is displayed on the screen.
These instructions work when you use the Valotalive Managed media player or a customer-managed Chrome OS media player (see image below)
For establishing the connection you'll need:
a mouse
a keyboard
WiFi information: Password and the SSID, if the network is hidden
Attach a mouse and a keyboard to the Media Players USB ports.
Turn off the Media Player from the power button.
Wait for 15 seconds.
Turn the Media Player back on.
While the Media Player is starting, press CTRL + ALT + S
This stops the Valotalive Kiosk app from starting and you can access the network settings.At the bottom right, select the time.
Select Not Connected
Note: If you see your Wi-Fi network name and a signal strength, the media player is already connected to Wi-Fi.
Turn on Wi-Fi
Your media player will automatically look for available networks and show them to you in a list.
Choose the preferred network and Login to the WiFi
To connect to a hidden network:
Select Join other Wi-Fi networks
Enter the network information (SSID + password) in the box that appears.
Select Connect.
Choose Valotalive App from the lower left corner of the screen to start the Valotalive.
Alternatively you can simply reboot the Media Player and it will automatically connect to the chosen network.
Remove the mouse and the keyboard from the Media Player.
Your content Flow will begin to play**
