Easily display daily menus from Compass Group restaurants on info screens with the lunch menu app. Information is updated automatically.

This guide shows how to display daily menus from Compass Group on your info screen using a lunch menu app.

What you'll need

The web address (URL) of your Compass Group restaurant's menu in JSON format. You can find this on the Compass Group website:

  1. Search for your restaurant.

  2. Click "Tilaa ruokalista" (Subscribe for menu).

  3. Choose "JSON syöte" (JSON feed). This will open a URL like this: https://www.compass-group.fi/menuapi/feed/json?costNumber=3117&language=fi (copy this URL).

Want menus in multiple languages?

  • Change the website language on Compass Group web site.

  • Get separate URLs for each language you want.

  • Make a separate Menu app for each language.

  1. Click the icon for the content app you want to activate

Settings on the Apps' Configuration tab

  1. Name the App:

    Click the edit icon on top of the screen and give your app a clear name (e.g., "Today's Lunch Menu"). This name can show up on your screen if screen settings allow it.

  2. Theme: You can keep the default theme or choose a different one.
    In most cases, the Theme defines colors and fonts the App is using.

  3. URL to JSON feed of the restaurant:

    Paste the copied URL from step "What you'll need" into the designated field.

  4. Cycle Time: Choose how long each menu item stays on the screen before switching.

  5. Save the settings

Finishing Up

Complete the work by adding the app to a flow or directly to a display.
