Why is my content appearing too small or distorted on screen?

If your content looks too small, off-center, or distorted on your displays, the most common cause is an image resolution mismatch. Here is how to identify and fix it.

Why It Happens

Images and other content are displayed pixel by pixel - meaning content is shown at its native resolution rather than being stretched to fill the screen. On high-resolution screens (Full HD or 4K), low-resolution images will appear centered with empty space around them rather than filling the full screen.

Example: An image sized 1441 x 809 pixels will not fill a Full HD (1920 x 1080) screen - it will appear centered with black or empty borders around it.

A 1441 x 809 pixel image displayed on a Full HD screen - centered with empty borders due to the resolution mismatch.

How to fix it

Use the correct image resolution

Upload images that match your screen's native resolution:

  • Full HD - 1920 x 1080 pixels (landscape)

  • 4K - 3840 x 2160 pixels (landscape)

  • 8K - 7680 x 4320 pixels (landscape)

An error message indicating the uploaded image resolution is too low - resize the image before uploading

If you see an error message indicating the file size is too small, resize the image to a higher resolution before uploading.

Use PDF format for presentations and documents

PDF files exported from PowerPoint or similar tools are designed to fit standard screen sizes and typically result in a better viewing experience than uploading individual images.
