Written by Katariina

What you need

  • The Organization Administrator (Super Admin) role, or an Admin role with the Edit Permissions permission, to set group permissions

  • The Move Users permission (or the Super Admin role) to move users between groups

How to Create an Admin User Group

  1. Go to My Company → Organization

  2. Click Add a Group

Add group button: creating an admin user group

  3. Enter a name for the new group

How to set Group permissions

  1. Click the gear wheel icon on the new group

    Gear icon: setting group permissions

  2. Click Add a Permission

  3. Choose the permission to add

Permissions can be unique to a group or inherited from parent groups.

How to give a User Admin rights

All users in a group automatically get the group’s permissions.

  1. Find the user in the Unassigned personnel box

New users may land in a different group if your company has limited their permissions further. To see where new users are placed automatically, check the Default organization group for new users field.

  2. Drag and drop the user into the box of the group you want

The number next to the people icon on each group shows how many Admin users are in it.

What can Unassigned users do?

Users in the Unassigned box have limited access. They can only use the Apps, Flows, and Displays assigned to their own accounts.

How to collapse and expand Groups

To get a better overview of a large organization, click the minus (–) sign on a group to hide it, and the plus (+) sign to show it again.

Collapse and expand groups: click "–" to hide a group and "+" to show it again.
