The Overlay App (Snow)

Note: Overlay apps aren't available by default. If you don't see overlay apps in your dashboard, just get in touch with the Valotalive team (support@valota.live) and we'd be happy to add if for you.
Activating the Overlay app (Snow)
Navigate to Apps > New overlay app (left side panel)
Choose your App
Settings on the Apps' Configuration tab
Name the App in a descriptive manner
Choose your Theme
Use the default Theme or change it according to your preferences.
The Theme defines colors and fonts the App is using.
Choose the Source
* Wall (community originated images and text, like postcards, can be posted)
* My Content Channel (recommended, images and text, like postcards, can be posted)
* Google Slides (screenshots from individual Slides pages can be posted)
* Google Photos (share a Google Photos folder with this app)
Content managers
Give access to content managers. Post text and images to the Overlay App.Note! Videos are not supported.
Show advanced
Language (English /Finnish; other languages available on the My Content settings)
Categories used
Not applicaple with Snow overlay
Number of posts displayed
How many of most recent posts is shown on the Snow plow ledge.
What type of snow?
Default option is Snowflakes. You can also choose Circles
Save
Adding the Overlay App to selected display(s)
Navigate to Displays > Overlay Apps
Click eitheran individual Display to choose a specific Display
or
a tag (ie. country, city) to choose multiple Displays.
The selected Displays will have orange borders as shown in the image below.
Activate your Overlay App
Once you have selected your Displays, choose your Overlay App from the drop-down menu.
Click SET OVERLAY APP TO SELECTED _ _ DISPLAYS to activate your Overlay App.
Your selected Display "boxes" will be fully orange after selecting and setting the Overlay App to your Displays. The Snowfall will begin under 10 minutes.
