Valotalive Web Player Troubleshooting

Fix common Web Player issues: pairing code not showing, content not appearing after claiming, PWA installation problems, and display disconnecting after sleep.

Issue: Pairing code is not appearing

Cause: The Web Player page may not have loaded fully.
Solution: Refresh the page. If the problem persists, confirm the device has an active internet connection and that pwa.valota.live is not blocked by a firewall or network filter. See the Network requirements article for the full list of required domains and ports.


Issue: Content is not appearing after claiming the display

Cause: No Flow or content has been assigned to the display yet, or the player has not synced.
Solution: Go to the Valotalive Dashboard and confirm a Flow or content is assigned to the display. After assigning, wait up to 2 minutes for content to appear. If nothing appears, refresh the Web Player page.


Issue: The Web Player is not installing as a PWA

Cause: The browser does not support PWA installation.
Solution: Use Chrome or Edge on desktop or Android. Safari on iOS supports Add to Home Screen with limitations. If the install option is missing, update the browser to the latest version.


Issue: The display disconnects after the screen goes to sleep

Cause: The device screen timeout is enabled.
Solution: Disable screen sleep and display timeout on the device. On Windows, go to Power and sleep settings. On Android, go to Display settings and disable screen timeout. Production displays should be configured to stay on continuously.
