A display shows as offline in your Valotalive dashboard when it hasn’t been able to reach the Valotalive servers. This is different from a display that is on but not updating its content.
There are three common causes:
1. The media player has lost its internet connection
If you see a Chrome dinosaur on screen, the device has no internet access at all.
2. The media player is powered off or has crashed
Check that the device is physically powered on. If it is but the screen is blank or frozen, the player app may have crashed and needs a restart.
3. There’s a network or connection issue
The player may be online locally but unable to reach Valotalive’s servers — common with Ethernet setups, firewall rules, or proxy configurations.
