Content not updating on your display — how to fix it

Troubleshoot when your Valotalive app shows old content, a red X next to "Source is pushing data," or an outdated "Latest content" timestamp.

If your app settings show a red X next to Source is pushing data or the Latest content timestamp is old, your content has stopped updating. Follow these checks in order to find the cause.

Does the app need reauthorization?

Some apps lose access to their content source over time and need to be reconnected.

  1. Go to My Account | Service Integrations

  2. Reauthorize Integration: Reauthorize the integration between Valotalive and your content source.

    Note: Do not click Revoke unless absolutely necessary — revoking will delete all apps as it removes access for the apps using that integration.

Refresh the app configuration

If reauthorization doesn't help, the data may be stuck in transfer. To force a refresh:

  1. Open the app's Configuration tab.

  2. Change any value and save.

  3. Change it back to the original value and save again.

Is the content assigned to a display?

Confirm the app is assigned to a flow or directly to a display.

Note: If the app is part of a Multiview (split-screen) app, it may show as Unassigned — this is expected behavior.
