Easiest way for activating a content App is from Valotalive Dashboard. Just click the icon of the content you wish to activate and proceed. More detailed info of the first steps can be found here:

Settings on the Apps' Configuration tab

  1. Authorise to Facebook with OAuth2

  2. Login to Facebook from the Authorize link

Follow the instructions given by Facebook and choose the page you want your displays to show.

  3. And finalise the authorisation with OK

NOTE! All authorisations between Valotalive and Facebook are valid for approximately 12 weeks at a time, after which you'll need to renew the authorisation (token). When the token expires your displays will keep showing Facebook contents, but won't receive new posts.

Easiest way to reauthorise is through My Account > Service integrations

  4. Choose the Facebook page to follow from a drop-down list.
Click the pen to open the drop-down list.

  5. SHOW ADVANCED:

    1. The number of the latest posts to show

How many of the latest Facebook posts will be displayed in the info screen.
Define it according to how often you post information to facebook keeping in mind that the info screen should show only the most recent posts. The oldest posts will be dropped off from the cycle based on this setting.

    2. Time to show one post

This defines how long one post will be visible in the info screen at one time and value depends on your typical content. If your posts are mostly text, then you start with 20 seconds. Collect feedback to should you increase or decrease this value. Main point is to make sure your viewer has enough time to read everything, consume the contents.

    3. Animated text on screens (On/Off)

Preset is Off, no animation in the texts of your Facebook posts. If you have many videos in the feed

    4. Minimum amount of posts in one show cycle

To define how many facebook posts will be shown at one time before something else comes to the display.

    5. Mute videos

We recommend using audio on your digital displays only with special contents. If there is a lot of sound on the displays people may find the sound annoying.

Complete the work by adding the app to a flow or directly to a display.
