Connect Social media to digital displays with Valotalive Viva Engage App.

Valotalive Viva Engage App main features

MS Viva Engage app - Activate and use

Easiest way for activating a content App is from Valotalive Dashboard. Just click the icon of the content you wish to activate and proceed. More detailed info of the first steps can be found here:

  1. Authenticate Valotalive Viva Engage with MS OAuth2

    Authorize Viva Engage for Valotalive Info Screen Use

    This authorization gives Valotalive the permission to view and read posts labeled as Announcements, Praises, Discussions and Questions from a specific Viva Engage Community and show the main posts on the Valotalive Digital displays.

  2. Viva Engage community

    Select which Viva Engage community you want to follow.

    First Valotalive fetches community groups You belong to.

    Choose + Load all groups if the community you are looking for is not on the drop-down list

  3. Message types to follow

    Select the type of messages you wish to publish to digital screens.

    Choose the types of messages you wish to pullo from Viva Engage to Valotalive Digital Displays


    1. Number of latest posts to follow
      How many of the latest posts should be shown.

      Large number tend to hide the latest posts.

    2. Posts must be newer than

      Enter maximum age of the posts in days

    3. Should next and previous posts be visible

      Yes setting will show a small portion of the newer and older posts on screen. Newer posts will appear on top of the message shown and older posts below the message shown.

    4. Emphasize new posts

      Emphasize messages that have been posted within a day if there are any.

    5. Seconds per article
      How many seconds each message is shown on it's turn.

      Best practice is 10-20 seconds per one post.

    6. Posts in one show cycle
      How many posts are shown on one (1) show cycle.

    7. Use HTML formatting from posts
      is the recommended option for visually optimal results.

  5. Rename the App

    Rename the app by clicking the name on top of the page:

    The best practice is to name the App to match the selected data source.
