If your display shows a black screen, the most common cause is that the input source has been changed and no longer matches the port your media player is connected to.
Why this happens
A display can accept input from several sources, such as HDMI, HDMI 2, DVI, VGA, or DisplayPort. The Valotalive media player is usually connected via HDMI. If someone changes the input source on the display — for example, from HDMI to DVI — the display won't receive any signal from the media player, and you'll see a black screen.
How to fix it
Check which port the media player is connected to on the back of the display (usually HDMI 1 or HDMI 2).
Using the display's remote control or physical buttons, open the Source or Input menu.
Select the input that matches the port your media player uses.
Your content should appear within a few seconds.
If the screen stays black after selecting the correct input, check the media player that it is turned on or contact Valotalive support.
