A Chrome Dinosaur icon on your display means the media player can no longer reach the internet. Work through the steps below to restore the connection.
The Chrome Dinosaur on your screen (Connection Lost)
Reboot the media player
Power off your media player (Chrome PC or other device), wait a few seconds, then turn it back on. A restart resolves most temporary connection issues.
Verify the network connection
For Wi-Fi:
Use another device (like a phone or laptop) to confirm the WiFi network is active and available at that location.
For Ethernet:
Make sure the Ethernet cable is firmly plugged into both the media player and the router or switch.
Check the port's light indicator — it should be blinking or solid to show activity.
If a dedicated VLAN is used, confirm with your IT team that the port is assigned to the correct VLAN.
