How to display SharePoint Intranet News on Digital Signage

Display live SharePoint news and blog posts on your digital signage screens. Extend the reach of your intranet communication with the Valotalive SharePoint Online integration.

How to activate the SharePoint News App

  1. Go to the Valotalive Dashboard and find the SharePoint app icon

Configuration

  1. Authorize with OAuth2
    Authenticate Valotalive with your Microsoft account.

  2. Select Your SharePoint Site

    Choose the SharePoint site from the drop-down menu to pull news or blog posts from.

    Valotalive verifies that the selected site contains a compatible list - either Site Pages or Posts for blog sites.

  3. Show Posts
    Choose to display All Posts or Promoted Posts only.

    By default, Valotalive shows only posts with a promoted state of 2 (published news).

  4. SharePoint List Filters
    Filter posts using SharePoint column values from the drop-down menu.

    ⚠️ Be precise - typos or invalid values will return no posts.

  5. Company Logo
    Upload your logo to appear on the app main page and alongside posts.

  6. Footer Text
    Add a call-to-action text to the footer of each post.

  7. Seconds per Article
    Set how long each post is displayed on screen.

    Best practice: 10–20 seconds per page.

  8. Date Formatting
    Select the country locale for date formatting.

Rename the App

Click the app name at the top of the page to rename it. Best practice is to name it after the SharePoint News channel or Blog it is pulling posts from.
